Available Schedule with potential overtime:
Monday – Friday
6:00am – 2:30pm
The position for the Facility Maintenance Supervisor (FMS) requires that the potential candidate for this position hold this as their primary and only job, as supervisors are required to be on-call. Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check. Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
The FMS may work in any location on client premises. The FMS manages the cleaning entirety of the facility and the cleaning staff, while demonstrating strong teamwork characteristics in assisting with cleaning tasks as well. Strong teambuilding is a necessity. The facility maintenance supervisor must also demonstrate strong professional office skills, including but not limited to written emails, operating office equipment, and reporting to the client and corporate.
Duties include the following:
Assist with Hiring/recruiting, and training of new hires
Maintain schedules as set by corporate and answer corporate inquiries regarding timecards
Ascertain that employees are utilizing the timeclock appropriately and timely
Inspect employee work and ensure the cleaning is up to LJ’s cleaning standards
Communicate with a professional demeanor via phone, radio, and email
Operate general office equipment including but not limited to a printer/scanner, desktop/laptop, cell phone, tablet, and radio
Communicate through office suite applications including but not limited to outlook email, word, and OneDrive
Keep radio equipment on person at all times for team check-ins and check-outs
**Supervision and assisting of all cleaning duties as specified in the training/hiring process (cleaning checklist will be provided)
Misting With backpack mister, wearing full Tyvek Body suit, Googles and respirators under responsibilities. Training provided.
2 years of Project/Business Operations/Management Experience
2 years of Janitorial Experience
Bilingual preferred but not necessary
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner in physical appearance (uniforms are provided)
Maintain professional relationships with the client, employees and vendors
Ability to present self in a highly positive professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential
Demonstrate strong leadership characteristics
Must be able to compose and communicate professionally through all office suite apps including but not limited to word, excel, outlook email, and OneDrive
Must be able to operate general office equipment including but limited to a copying machine, scanner, desktop/laptop, cell phone, and radio
Preferred knowledge of and proficiency in all OSHA and local requirements related to all assigned work
Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment
Must be receptive and enthusiastic towards a continuously changing work environment
- Significant walking or other means of mobility. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift, up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds. Must comply with any dress code requirements
- Generally, in an indoor office and/or warehouse setting, however, may participate in outside activities and events. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations. Will be exposed to various cleaning chemicals
